“AL – MANZAR” Olive Oil made from Centennial olive trees. “Aceite de Oliva Virgen Extra de olivos centenarios”
Extra “Virgen” Olive oil, from the region of Jaen, southern Spain, Andalucía. Virgen Extra means the oil is produced after a first and unique pression and filtering process of the olive raw material, under normal temperature (primera presión a frío). Producer informs that in his production area productive olive trees were reported in 1752 (Archivo Histórico Provincial de Jaén), according to Marqués de la Ensenada. Currently these olive trees have a trunk diameter that can reach more than three meters in some cases. They are irrigated using traditionnal techniques by people walking the field. Their configuration and shape resulting from specific pruning give these trees a special metabolims for they can pump higher volume of water, what combined with high temperatures of the region produces an oil of very high quality and exceptionnal on an organoleptic point of view.
Taste it simply on a good piece of bread, or as an appetiser. High end fine olive oil for salads and condimenting tapas (on Ibérico ham, on pan con tomate, etc) and food.
Limited edition, producer informs that only 5000 liters per year are obtained, for a limited production of 10 000 botles.
